A former animator who worked on Rockstar Games’ biggest titles has accidentally leaked some real, early footage from Grand Theft Auto VI (GTA VI).
The animator, who worked on Red Dead Redemption 2, posted a demo reel of their work online. The reel briefly included unpolished clips of animations that are clearly from the new GTA game, confirming a few new features.
What Did the Leak Show?
The short clips were quickly taken down, but fans grabbed the key details:
Public Bike System Confirmed:
A character was shown using a bike rental station. This is new for the game’s setting, Vice City.
The bike has a logo called “Lom Bikes,” which is Rockstar’s funny version of real-world shared bike services (like Lime or Citi Bike). This means players can grab and use rental bikes all over the city.
New Character Movement:
Another clip showed a female character (thought to be Lucia, one of the two main heroes) making a complex jump out of the bed of a pickup truck.
This highlights that movement in GTA VI will be more detailed and realistic, allowing players to interact with vehicles in new ways.
Why This Leak is a Big Deal
This leak is important because it’s real. Unlike most online rumors, this came from a person who actually worked on the game, proving the clips are genuine development footage.
Rockstar is famous for keeping its games secret, and they have recently been very strict about leaks. The fact that this footage was pulled so fast confirms it was unauthorized.
The game is scheduled to launch on November 19, 2026. This brief look gives fans solid proof that the game’s world and physics are going to be more advanced than ever before.
